On Saturday (12 November) there are presentations, panel discussion, upcycling workshops, other workshops, entertainment, stalls, building a tiny house, a giant clothing and book swap, a sewing lounge/upcycle cafe, children’s activities, stalls, food and other special events. In the evening there is a community music jam (but you don’t need to be a musician to join in).
On Sunday there are more upcycling workshops, a public forum on creating an ecology centre in Newcastle and the festival closes with an upcycled fashion parade.
The program will soon be available on the festival webpage and we will be providing regular updates in the lead up to the festival.
We are offering some great upcycling workshops at highly discounted rates for the Festival. The two workshops with Jane Milburn are also a rare opportunity because she is coming to the Festival from Brisbane. As places are limited for most of the upcycling workshops, we suggest that you book early to avoid disappointment. You can find more details about the workshops here. You can book and pay for the workshops through our new Eventbrite page.
