Learn sewing basics to transform old clothing and textiles. The 10 week, 25 hour course will include managing basic functions on your machine, sewing seams and hems, elastic waistbands, inserting zips, buttonholes, and how to steal elements from other garments to include in your projects. You are encouraged to bring along items that you wish to change or repair.
The class will use recycled and reclaimed fabrics and haberdashery items, and teach sewing rules and then how to break them! Materials for the samples will be provided including fabric, zips and haberdashery items. You will need to provide materials for the projects you wish to make.
