Don’t miss the long awaited Newcastle premiere of The Bentley Effect supported by The Wilderness Society.

Come and see the extraordinary tale of how our region fended off the gas juggernaut – showing at The Regal Cinema.

The Bentley Effect is a movie about how the community of the NSW Northern Rivers region came together to oppose an unconventional gas project and won. Filmed over five years, it documents the highs and lows of their struggle, and the passion of a community who never gave up.

Among other awards, this film has recently been named the best documentary feature film in the Barcelona Planet Film Festival. The Bentley Effect is striking a chord around the world.

The filmmaker, Brendan Shoebridge, will be introducing the film and we will hold a Q and A session afterwards with our local Coal Seam Gas (CSG) campaigner.

Doors open at 6.30pm. Coal Seam Gas in NSW update at 7pm, introducing The Bentley Effect Producer / Director Brendan Shoebridge. 7.15pm film screens. 8.40-9pm Q&A with the film maker.
