We’re planning a big day with our Upcycle Newcastle/Transition Newcastle display and stall at the Living Smart Festival:
- Free pop up workshops making fruit and veg bags from old curtains, beeswax food cloths, jeans pocket bags, and cut up t-shirt wrist bands.
- Clothing repair cafe 10am – 12.30pm – bring along an item of clothing needing fixing up and we’ll help you learn how.
- Community rag rug – help make this huge rug that will be made in various venues over the coming months. Using big needles made from old toothbrushes come and learn how to make it, or bring us your old t-shirts that will be cut up and incorporated into the rug.
- The upcycled Tiny House – come and check it out and talk to those who made it.
